Zeke
Zeke, a beautiful yellow lab was 15 years old,
born the runt of a litter of 10 puppies to our wonderful black lab Thirty. He
was the biggest of all of the dogs after a lot of love and affection. His
brother and mother were raised with our family, and he was my mothers dog. He
followed my mother around all over the house, and barked if she went out of
sight. Thirty was getting old and my parents had to put her down, and then it
was just Hershey and Zeke left. Hershey and Zeke were getting old and on a lot
of medicine and one night Hershey passes away peacefully in the middle of the
night.
Zeke was the only one left which the whole family was surprised because he was
the sickest and the worst health of himself and Hershey. My parents went away on
vacation this month, and thought he would pass while away. They were so happy
that he made it. The other night, he was going downhill, like he had so many
times, and was not popping back like usual, so my parents made one of the
hardest decisions of there happy life with Zeke and decided to put him out of
his misery.
This is in remembrance of my mothers beautiful Zeke, we will miss you very much.
Say hello to Thirty, Hershey, and Grandpop for us. We love you always, and
Rebekka (my daughter) says goodbye doggy, and "I love you"
